When I sit down with a new skin cancer patient, I imagine I am sitting down with one of my own family members. I care about them and I want to help them get better. I know it can be frightening to hear the word “cancer” and I know that no one wants to face the prospect of having a scar on their face that may change how they look. I am honored by the opportunity to relieve the anxiety, remove the cancer and allow the patient to leave my office as beautiful or as handsome as they came. Over the years, I have met some of the most kind, funny, interesting, talented and beautiful people. And for those people, I am truly grateful.
